Langbridge Home Hardware may be referred to as ‘Langbridge Home Hardware’, ‘us’, ‘we’ and ‘our’. ‘We’ and ‘us’ means Langbridge Home Hardware alone or together with you, the customer, as the context requires. ‘You’ means the person ordering goods subject to these terms and conditions.

By using our site you agree that email, post and telephone are acceptable forms of communication. We do not accept any responsibility for any loss of life, earnings, damage to property or personal injury as a result of dealings with Langbridge Home Hardware or mis-use of any items purchased from us.

We take all responsible care to ensure that all details and prices of products appearing on our website are correct. Although we aim to keep our website as up to date as possible, information appearing on it at any particular time may not always reflect the exact stock level at the moment you place your order.

Occasionally we run short-term price PROMOTIONS offering exceptional discounts on specified products on our website. Once these promotions have finished the products will only be available at the price stated and not any previous discounted price. Prices offered on the website may not necessarily reflect prices on the same products in our store. We reserve the right to offer special website prices to our online customers that will not be offered if the product is purchased in our store.

The prices for goods on our website are inclusive of VAT. Delivery is charged in addition (unless the item states free delivery or you opt to collect in store) and any such additional charges are clearly displayed were they apply. Delivery charges displayed are valid only for mainland UK.

There may be occasions when we are unable to accept a placed order. This can include, but is not limited to the following;
– The product is not in stock or is not deemed to be in a saleable state.
– We are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment.
– There is a price or product description error.
– You have not met the criteria set out in the terms and conditions.
Please be aware only the registered user should order under your login and it is your responsibility to ensure this information is kept safe. Once you have placed an order on our website you may cancel and receive a full refund by contacting us BEFORE the status of your order has been changed to ‘dispatched’. It is recommended you do so by phoning us on 01225 313848 as we cannot guarantee the speed of receiving an email.

Langbridge Home Hardware will not accept your order until the full amount owing to us has cleared. Incorrect information entered onto your order form will cause a delay in processing. You must make sure you have adequate funds to complete the sale. Any fictitious credit/debit card details entered on the site will be fully investigated and in some cases the information may be passed onto the authorities.
We reserve the right to supply you at our discretion.

Products that have been cut to size or mixed to your requirements cannot be exchanged or refunded. Ownership of the goods shall remain with Langbridge Home Hardware and shall not pass to the customer until all monies have been paid in full. Always read and follow any relevant manuals and safety instructions before using items purchased from Langbridge Home Hardware as we will not be held liable for any incident resulting from misuse.

We cannot guarantee that the appearance and/or colours of products shown on our site exactly reproduce the appearance and/or colours of the physical products themselves. Natural products may have some colour variation and all sizes of items on our website are approximate. When viewing our paint colours we strongly recommend you request a free colour chart from us as we will not be held liable for any wrongly chosen colours.

Under the Offensive Weapons Act it is an offence to sell knives, blades or any other item considered an offensive weapon to any person under the age of 18. These items are only for sale to customers aged 18 and over. By ordering any of these items from us you agree to our terms and conditions and therefore confirm you are over 18 and can legally purchase these items covered by the Offensive Weapons Act.

We may, at any time, make any changes to our website and the details and prices displayed on it.
You are not allowed to use this site in any way that interferes with our systems, other users or is deemed to be inappropriate. You will indemnify us from and against all actions, claims, liabilities or costs arising from or in any way connected with use of this site by you or anyone using your login details. You are forbidden from using this website to make any fraudulent or false orders. You may not copy, print, deface, tamper with, alter, distribute or otherwise use any material contained in this website.

To the extent permitted by law, Langbridge Home Hardware accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising as a consequence of any advice provided.

These terms and conditions supersede any other conditions, understandings or representations communicated via email, verbally or otherwise. If any part of these terms and conditions are found to be inaccurate or invalid the remainder of this document remains unaffected.

Returns Policy
Unwanted Items
If you wish to return an unwanted item to Langbridge Home Hardware you have 14 days from the dispatch date to do so. The item/s must be returned unused and in their original, resalable, complete condition.
– Orders that are cut to size or mixed to specification are non refundable –
We will not be held responsible for the method used to return unwanted items or the cost of doing so. We strongly recommend you use a traceable service to return any items to us as we will not be held responsible for any items lost or damaged in transit.
We reserve the right to refuse a return if we consider the item to not be in a resalable condition.
In some circumstances we may apply our 20% restocking charge. To find out if this applies to your purchase you can contact us by phone 01225 313848 (asking for the accounts department) or by emailing us via the CONTACT US page.
All refunds are subject to inspection of goods once they are returned to us. Any unwanted item/s returned to us that qualify for a refund will have NO refund of delivery charges.
Defective Items
If an item purchased from Langbridge Home Hardware arrives in a broken, damaged or non-functioning state, we must be immediately contacted either by phone 01225 313848 (asking for the accounts department) or by emailing us via the CONTACT US link. You must provide us with your name and order number in all correspondence.
Langbridge Home Hardware may use a courier service to collect the item/s from you. If you fail to meet the courier’s requirements of access to the parcel you may be charged for a return visit by them. Alternatively we may ask you to return the item/s to us pending fault investigation. If the item/s has a genuine defect or damage not due to customer or courier negligence we will refund the cost of returns to us and replace the item/s at no cost to you.

Langbridge Home Hardware reserves the right to replace a particular part or alternatively repair a damaged item as we see fit.
If an item becomes defective within 1 year of purchase you may return this item to us. If, on inspection, the item is considered faulty due to customer negligence we will contact you with either the cost of repair or replacement costs. If, however, a genuine fault has occurred we will provide either a refund or replacement – this is to be determined at our discretion – We may also require any warranty information that was originally supplied with the item.
Delivery Policy
Here at Langbridge Home Hardware we aim to give you, our customer, the best possible delivery charges we can. We quote our delivery charges based on the following methods;
– Royal Mail 2nd Class Post
– Royal Mail Parcel Post
– Parcelforce Courier
By placing your order you are agreeing to our stated delivery charges. Occasionally we understand you may require your goods in a hurry. In this instance you may choose to pay extra (determined on size, weight and speed) to receive your items sooner. If you require this extra service please contact us by phone on 01225 313848 (asking for the accounts department) quoting your name and order number, and we will help you as much as we can.
We aim to dispatch your items within 5 working days of receiving your order with cleared payment. Your order may be delayed if the item is not in stock. Some items may be unavailable and the current stock status is approximate. To check an item is definitely in stock we recommend you call us on 01225 313848 and quote the code number for the item.
Delivery times are approximate and should not be relied upon. We cannot take responsibility for late deliveries, this includes, but is not limited to delays resulting from acts of God, flood, fire, malicious damage, traffic incidents, unforeseen technical problems, strikes, trade disputes or extreme weather conditions. For such exceptions we may require additional time and effort to fulfil the delivery. If this occurs we will do our utmost to deliver your order as soon as we possibly can.
We will attempt to deliver your order to the delivery address stated on your order. If packages are returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address or after twice failing to deliver the goods and the customer not collecting them from the courier depot we shall refund the price of the goods less delivery charges plus any additional costs charged to us by the courier company for returning it.
Our courier company require us to print your phone number/s on the package to aid their drivers in finding well hidden addresses. If you do not wish your number to be used in this way (be aware this may occasionally delay delivery) please let us know and we will remove such detail.
Any delivery prices advertised on our website are available for UK mainland deliveries only. Prices for other areas are available on request. We will happily send orders to BFPO addresses but please be aware this does restrict delivery of particular chemicals and offensive weapon class items.
Some orders may be subject to Customs duties and taxes. Langbridge Home Hardware are not responsible for these charges and do not have a duty to inform you of any such charges. It is advised that you contact your local authority prior to ordering goods from out site. Cross border packages may be subject to inspection and opening. We cannot be held responsible for any damages or loss as a result of this.
Our couriers work throughout the day Monday to Friday so your order may arrive any time between 9.00am and 6.00pm. All courier deliveries must be signed for.
– Working days exclude weekends and bank holidays –
As soon as Langbridge Home Hardware has delivered the goods, the customer will be responsible for their safekeeping and we will not be held responsible for any fault or damage arising from incorrect storage. On delivery of your order please check your goods carefully before you use them. We also recommend you keep your receipt and order number in case it is required for any after sales enquiry.
